Explorers & God's Promises

Our Explorer teachers are Anne Contreras and Karen Turner.  In Explorers, phonetic components that have already been introduced, letter and number recognition and identification are reinforced.  In this group, your child will be introduced to opposites, tiered instruction, lower case letters and short vowel sounds.

They begin to expand their vocabulary as they learn new words and begin to identify and learn to draw shapes.  This group works with sensory objects and are asked to describe them and how they feel.  They begin to look and identify letters of the alphabet in their scribbling and in their art work.

Our God's Promises teachers are Lorrie Lindley and Jalysa Lee.  By the time your child reaches this group, upper and lower case letter identification is accurate.  They will begin to learn the number families and learn to tell time on an analog clock.  They begin to practice printing with a pencil on lined paper and learn to cut with scissors.
